The Studio of Shane Kindschi

here are very few artisans in the world who still practice the medieval art of illumination. Pictured at right, The Illuminated Cross (at right) was created on handmade paper using black, blue, red ink. Shane Kindschi's illuminated art is extremely detailed and created entirely from his original designs. Occasionally, Shane will create illuminated works to be used by the Motion Picture Industry.

The Illuminated Cross is one of Shane's most popular reproductions, and has been available for purchase since 2006. It is currently sold in selected shops on Biltmore Estate, and at the Kindschi.com Studio Store.
