Since the age of 11, Shane has been an avid photographer. As a high school student Shane exclusively used a 35mm film camera, and made the transition to digital photography in 2002. His images, often obtained during long hikes, capture the diverse beauty of his home state of North Carolina. Shane has also traveled extensively throughout England, Switzerland, Canada, and much of the US.
